Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage will be holding a Family Health Fair. On Saturday April 12th, 2014 come take advantage of what health knowledge the hospital will be providing. There will be health and wellness education, demonstrations, seminars and activities. This event is for the whole family. Learn together about the importance of healthy eating habits and exercise. See the difference between a non-smoker and a smokers lungs. Teach your children the importance of being tobacco free for you health. Want your children to learn the importance of washing your hands? At the Health Fair your child will have the opportunity to see their germs under a black light!! They will then understand that washing your hands is needed!! Get them thinking about healthy lifestyle choices early!

There will be certain Lab tests available if you would like to have them done. Lipid panel, blood sugar & HbA1c lab tests will be offered, plus blood pressure screenings. Save $5 on licenses through the ADF&G. You will be able to learn hands-only CPR. Feel more confident with your family with these CPR skills. You can take a tour of the new Kids Care Unit or view the DaVinci surgical robot. Free chair massages will be available to sooth your sore muscles and get your back feeling good! There will also be instructors teaching exercises and will have different activities for you and your family to enjoy! Come experience the fun side of Health Care with your whole family.
