If you’re a passionate yoga practitioner, you’ve probably noticed the ways yoga works—maybe you’re sleeping better or getting fewer colds or just feeling more relaxed and at ease. As it happens, Western science is starting to provide some concrete clues as to how yoga works to improve health, heal aches and pains, and keep sickness at bay. Hatha Yoga practice melts together the breath, holding poses and meditation. This blended Yin/Yang class will give you a balanced experience that will loosen you up, calm your mind, and create a little more patience one day at a time. Ha = Sun and Tha = Moon, a natural blend of yin and yang, deep and active, hot and cool inviting us into a place of equanimity and peace. By relaxing into the effort and noticing our distractions, we find grace in the shaky moments and insight in the challenging poses both on and off our mats. $15 suggested donation
Private lessons provide a setting in which your individuality can be addressed. Through verbal instruction, imagery, demonstration, and hands-on direction, yoga postures and breathing exercises are uniquely chosen and developed to meet your specific needs. Consistent private instruction gradually and effectively increases your strength, endurance, and range of motion. 90 minutes dedicated to building a comfortable foundation for the beginner, preparing you to confidently attend group classes
